As part of another query in another thread, the topic of transparent pngs arose.

It's well worth Artoonix users knowing that the program fully supports the import of images with transparency (eg: transparent backgrounds) when they have been saved in the png format.

I use this feature a lot when importing from programs such as Creatoon, Pencil, Tales Animator, Anime Studio Pro, Stykz etc., but there have been occasions when the process has failed and backgrounds have remained opaque. This always seems to be caused by the programs used for making the pngs rather than being the fault of Artoonix when importing them. (I assume that there are subtle variations in the png format just as there are with jpgs).

But there is an easy solution (probably more than one, but this is what I do) ...

I load single images or batches of images - even if they are already png's - into the freeware program IRFANVIEW and then run a batch conversion into the png format which overwrites the originals if they are already png's, or maybe saves them into a separate folder. This has always worked for me.
