In a last-ditch attempt to spark a bit of life into this forum, I thought I'd start a thread to offer links to any animations which are -
(a) worth watching, and ..
(b) useful as a way of seeing just how inventive it's possible to be when using animation.

Exactly as requested by the admin team for this entire forum, no links should be provided to animations or websites that contain material that is in any way questionable. I'd also suggest that many of the 'blood 'n' death' types of animation are also unsuitable (and boring!!)

What is needed are links to animations that make you want to get out there and try something new, rather than simply re-hashing or copying existing ideas or work.

If anything takes your interest - don't just copy it, explore an idea and then do your own thing with it.

For starters - have a look at the work of ELLIOTANIMATED on Youtube.
Part of his output is a strange, imaginative series about two characters called BOXHEAD AND ROUNDHEAD.
These animations are always monochrome and often verge towards being surreal - but the style is fantastic.
Here's the example that I found first.

Although not made by a program that is designed for animation, this is interesting for anyone who just draws a stick figure and simply slides it around. It isn't a movie - just a screen of demo actions. It might take a few seconds to load before playing.
